Customs, Cargo & Vehicle X-Ray Scanning

Why scan cargo instead of opening it?

Opening a container or pallet costs time and damages packaging, and it only samples what the officer happens to see. A large-tunnel X-ray system images the whole load in one pass, so contraband, undeclared goods and density anomalies are found without unloading — the load stays intact and the inspection is recorded.

Which system fits which load?

  • Pallets and roll cages: 10080C / 10080D — pallet-class tunnel, single or dual view
  • Oversize freight: 150180C — largest tunnel in the range
  • Large luggage and cube loads: 100100C — square tunnel profile

What about vehicles?

Vehicle and cargo scanning is a separate system class from baggage scanners, with drive-through or relocatable configurations. Requirements are quoted per site because shielding, throughput and lane layout drive the design.

Frequently asked questions

Can it penetrate a loaded container?

Steel penetration is rated 32–40 mm on the large-tunnel models, which covers most loaded freight; the actual result depends on density and load distribution.

Does it need a shielded room?

Fixed installations need shielding designed for the site. The factory provides the radiation-safety documentation for local approval.

Can images be exported for a case file?

Yes — images are archived with timestamps and can be exported for evidence.
